- 5 / 5By Richard WardAfter reading reviews when looking for an alternative to Stein's, we decided to give Chip Ahoy a go; and well pleased we are too (currently sitting here with contented, fat tummies!).
The fish was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of greasiness (not too dry) and nicely cooked chips. We had mushy peas (their own homemade) and curry sauce too.
Staff were friendly, despite a huge queue, and very helpful.
All was perfect, unlike the weather, and a rain shower meant we eat them in the car overlooking the harbour and estuary.
I would recommend Chip Ahoy, at least as a change to Stein's, if not in preference, and saving a few pounds too.January 05, 2017
